The 2025 Music Summit was an essential opportunity to shine a light on an often-forgotten part of our musical ecosystem. In just two years, it has become a critical vehicle for the regional and remote sector.”

The Regional & Remote Music Summit, Byron Bay/Bundjalung country (2025)

The Challenge

To program and produce a three-day event in regional NSW under the theme Strengthening Communities — bringing together artists, industry, policymakers, and community leaders to build cultural connections, expand networks, and reflect the realities and ambitions of regional Australia.

Our Approach

We designed and delivered a summit in Byron Bay that combined keynotes, workshops, and showcases with a strong focus on cultural exchange. The program was informed by place and centred on community-led perspectives while connecting to national and international industry conversations.

The Outcome

The Regional & Remote Music Summit is more than an industry gathering — it is a platform where regional voices have national impact, and where ideas are grounded in place and inspired by purpose to make a real difference.

In July 2025, the Summit brought together over 230 artists, industry leaders, policymakers, and community representatives for three days of conversation, cultural exchange, and live music on Bundjalung Country.
